My driver seat is stuck, wont move. Is there a way to move the seat, by applying power directly to seat harness, I dont know if the switch is broken or there is something wrong with main harness.
Since there are multiple motors and switches involved it is unlikely all failed at the same time. More likely a fuse blew or the main power plug is loose/disconnected. Have you eliminated these items?
I seem to have the same problem except with my passenger seat (luckily it's all the way back so it's not that big of an issue). I've checked the fuse and visually inspected the plugs. Because it is all the way back and all the way down stuck. It makes it nearly impossible to reach/see the plugs and impossible to remove the seat to test it all out. I don't think I can get to all of the bolts to remove the seat so that I can properly test the connections.
Mine is a C6 MN6 Z51 similar to yours. I'd be interested to see what is causing your problem...

Any help, would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks

Marcus,
I bought my 2005 Vette used and after a few days the drivers seat would not go forward or backward. The seat would not raise or lower. The heated seat function still worked if I remember correctly and the lumbar control still worked. All the fuses were OK. As it turned out 1 of the wires(a red and black) had broken off the connector that goes to the seat motor. In my case it was the black wire. It is a 2-wire connector, the red and black wires are considerably larger in diameter than the other wires for the other control functions. This connector is buried about midway under the seat and pulls out from the back. One minute the seat was working, the next it was not. This happened after I hit the auto-exit button on the drivers side door panel, you know the one you can memory program. So there I was, the seat was ALL the way back and about as LOW as it could go. I had to get the seat out to fix it, BUT, how do you do that when you cannot see the 2 rear seat bolts!!!! In my case I was able to remove the nuts from the 2 front seat bolts and using large sockets, 22mm, 23mm, under the seat rails, I was able to raise the seat just barely enough. Using a flashlite and SQUEZZING my hand underneath the seat i was able after MANY tries to touch the black wire to the connector where it was broken from. While pressing the seat forward button, I was able to move the seat forward enough to get to the 2 back bolts and remove the seat. Then it was easy to repair the broken wire. I replaced the old 2 wire connector with a new one which already came with the 2 wires. I hope for your sake you can get to all 4 bolts with the seat in its current position and just the pull the seat out... Otherwise you are in for a REAL TRIAL of your patience to fix it. BTW, from what I understand this is a common problem with these power seats.
Curious to know if you fixed the seat, figured out the problem? I recently pulled a couple seats out of a 07 c6 and put them in my 71' dart. Pulled the weight sensors and what not to add to the racing seats in the vette, but ran into a couple grounding issues when hooking up power in the dart.
After some testing with a cheap volt meter, replacing the main power and ground for the adjustment motor solved everything for me.
Neal, your a life saviour, its guys like you that make this forum great
Marcus,
Agreed....... The folks that contribute to this forum make it GREAT!!! I had a problem reprogramming a FOB, a member came to my aid with the exact instuctions I needed(the owners manual is a bit weak in some areas). I hope your seat is repaired and you are out enjoying your car again.....
