Default Altitude

As I'm sitting here at work I thought I would share some experience with the altitude out here in Colorado Springs. During the winter I got to drive the car just a bit and it didn't seem all that bad. When I got home from Kuwait, it was just horrible. It was still a fast car, but not the funmobile I worked so hard to build. It was a total downer. Of course everything is relative and in its current 500rwhp trim I was fast compared to many local cars. In New Jersey I loved to run down blower cars and here its no different. I can still take an FI car. However, the car just feels dead to me after driving it at sea level and its tough to swallow.

Last night my good buddy Spinmonster and I tore mt car apart and put my FAST and Lingenfelter cold air on another forum member's car. I'm sure will post about that later. I finally gave in to the boost lust. No more will those lil damn EVO things threaten me Looks like I'm going to run a JT trim and air to water intercooler. I'm not changing heads so it will be a careful dance around my stock compression. They say up here you can get away with a lot. We are already thinking of ways to de-tune the motor, I only want around 700rwhp.

So, altitude is a real bummer, don't let anybody tell you different.

Yes it is beautiful here and the weather is great. I really thought I was going to be ok, just take a year off of going fast and just cruise around. But, I just can't do it. I went to a local get - together and every flippin car had a blower AND Nitrous. I said to myself, "self yous gots to do something bout this".

Darn, I would've liked to have met the Spinmonster and see what if anything he could do to my vehicle. From what I hear he is a very cool person.

Yes the weather up here is awesome.!!!
