Default Rear spoiler question.....

By switching the stock rear spoiler with the Z06 on my coupe, does it change the aerodynamics in a negative way?

I would think it would be a positive change, providing more down force.

I installed the Z06 spoiler on my coupe and have taken the car to VIR. Have not noted any negative effect. Install took about 15 min.

It's going to provide more downforce, and it seems to me it would create just a bit more drag

Took a full 1 and 1/2 sec off my quarter mile time...............

It's an inch taller...............it will do nothing that you can feel.

Does however seem to keep some of the dust off the back.

I wouldn't worry unless you're building a high speed track car, then the rear spoiler tends to be a little bigger:
