Air conditioner display flashes

Air conditioner display flashes

I turned on the air conditioner, to auto, the display showed the outside temp, both left and right inside temps as well as the word "auto"
The A/C was working normally, except the entire display was flashing on and off, about once a second. I turned the car off, then back on.
Still flashing. After church, started the car, everything is back to normal.
Any Idea what would cause the flashing?

"Low Freon"

Is this fact, or speculation?

I live in Phoenix and it is 111 degrees today. Low freon is not good.
Please clarify your response.

Some early '05's had 'freon' overfill. Mine did and it tends to cycle on and off when the pressure rises with high outside temps, like 120 degrees. There is a TSB fix where they reduce the fill.
