I would run a 255-265 size tire until you're cutting better than 1.5s...no sense in having all the extra unsprung weight unless you just want the look of a wider tire.
I dont believe they make those sizes in 17 though, so I'd run a 275.
Im Going To Be Running A 17 Inch Bogart In The Rear Of My 05 C6 What Size Drag Radial Mickey Thompson Should I Run? Like A 315 50 17 Maybe?
Depends on the width of the rims and your rear axle ratio/final gearing needs.
If it's only 9" wide then I would NEVER put a 315 on there.
Even if it's as wide as 10.5" - 11" I would only go with the 295-45-17 (roughly 27.4" tall).
I'll assume that they're in the 9.5" - 10" range so the 275-40-17s (roughly 25.7" tall) or even the bias ply ET Streets in 26.0-11.5-17 might be the way to go.
