Where to purchase mods....
Okay, I am getting ready to get started modding the C6 this fall and starting my research now.
Looking at getting:
3.42 gears
LT headers w/ cats
port TB and intake - (local shop can do it for $400)
160* thermostat
UD pulley
Heads
Cam
stall
There are so many choices and so many different options and I keep reading all the posts about whose makes the most power, track times, etc.... I am not looking at being the fastest, but my stock C6 is not nearly enough power. (past rides - 500/ 500 C5 vert and 600 rwhp Cadi CTS-V) Would like to run a 10 second 1/4.
I have "assisted" w/ my first h/c package on my C5 a number of years ago, then had another H/C installed professionally, then added a procharger and eventually went with a 408. Looking at doing this right the first time (ie not change my setup multiple times) and doing the labor myself possibly and try to enjoy the process vs. just looking at the results.
Goals are to have a car that is friendly enough to drive daily if desired and also take to the drag strip/ roadcourse.
So, my question, what vendors are giving the best prices on packages like the one I just listed..... I may also consider just doing a cam instead of H/C?

I was planning on calling Cartek. I will be installing the mods in October so I have some time... just wanted to hear some input.
Any A6 owners have anything to add?

I have an UD Pulley with all necessary belts and a new bolt. $300 shipped. If you can find a better price I will match it.
