On my '07 Z06, '08 Denali, and '08 Audi, the TP sensors in the car always show about 2# less than my other 3 hand held pressure gauges.
One is a rather expensive Longacre gauge.

If the car has been sitting still for 15 minutes the sensors go into a sleep mode and only transmit once per hour to conserve the life of their internal batteries.
When you start driving more than 20 mph the sensors wake up and start transmitting once every 60 seconds.
So.....if your car has been parked for more than 15 minutes when you adjust the tire pressure and check it and set it with your accurate gauge, the DIC won't reflect the new pressures until you go out and drive faster than 20 mph to wake up the sensors and get them to send the new pressures to the TPMS computer so they can be displayed on the DIC.
It looks like glennhl lives at a high enough elevation that he will see a psi or two lower than his accurate digital gauge. The owners that live up at high elevations in the mountains at 6,000 feet report the DIC pressures are always about 4 psi lower than their gauge reading.
I see that CLLOFF lives in Colorado and reports 2 psi off - I'm surprised it's not even a little more off at that altitude.
