Default porting LS2 intake?

I have the following mods.

VR -the snake, 160 stat, stock exhaust, LG long tubes (ceramic coated) with cats, 3.15 DTE gear set - stage 3
Soon I will be adding a DTE cam package that includes a UD pulley, ported TB and of course it will have Phil work his magic on the dyno including the special new adjustments available for the A6.

My question - is it worth porting the intake for $150 and what benefits in HP / torque can be had by porting the intake when the intake is matched up to LS2 heads (stock) except for the push roads and springs that will be changed with the cam. My plan is to have the LS2 heads reworked ( ported ) instead of replacing them with LS3.

Most get the TB PORTED too. You can Port the LS2 Manifold to yield about 15 rwhp/tq. The real difference is in throttle response which makes the Car much snappier.

You got great numbers there with the stock FAST. I know you mentioned when time was good for you that you would get it ported and retuned. I hope you do that and see those numbers rise and 1/8 mile times lowered. " and thats no Bunk " Leon
