You have nothing in your profile and don't give any details. I guess we need to call ghost busters.

Also Optima has $25 rebate going until Sept 15 if you need a battery.

You sure you got the reflash?
And the Optima is up to snuff?
Maybe you've got an electrical power leak somewhere.
Any add-ons?

And please give more details and describe your situation.

On a tender and still have DBS? You've got a power drain somewhere.
Do you have a multimeter?
Test the amperage draw on your car with it off.

Default dbs

I got the tsb off this site for dbs.
computer was reprogrammed friday june 20th
i noticed dbs june 25th
battery is 8 months old 2nd optima 1st 1 lasted less than 2 months
battery tender is a sears diehard
left car with stealership for 1 week
they say there is no drain on battery
car has gone crazy since reflash
example hatch ajar, horn honking upon exit for no reason
the only reason i haven't burned the pos is because gas is high
i have dbs since the car was 4 months old
filed lemon law june 2006 and recieved cash settlement

Here are your choices:
  1. Parasitic current drain (possible BCM concern)
  2. Generator has insufficent output
  3. Battery concern
  4. Battery tender failure (tender may have a failure mode (diode) where it drains battery. Use a DVOM to test battery tender)

Hopefully, you are not using a battery cut off switch like I did, that caused problems.

Default dbs

the reflash was supposed to fix the bcm problem.
alt. puts out over 14 volts
Itook battery back to auto zone and they charged overnight
and said it good.
the battery tender is about a month old
but i will have it checked.

when the car was 4 months old had to have battery replaced
heard the put it reverse saying for 1st of many times.
4 months later dead battery
4 months later dead battery
filed lemon law-cash settlement
the longest this car has gone without dbs is 8 months
and i don't know what i did any different.
different stealership says nothing wrong i just don't drive
it enough.
there are no add ons to the car of any kind.
i just get messages on the dic.
no fob detected
hatch ajar
service active handling

i live in west texas and have been told there is a company in
lubbock if they can't fix it nobody can.
I haven't made any plans to take it yet.i thought that was what
a warranty was for.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND ANSWERS!!

Don't laugh, but you may have a loose ground. I had a similar issue, GM bought the car back and the dealer told me they found the problem after the car was shipped to a GM facility somewhere to find the problem.

It is obviously not a battery issue, since you have has enough different batteries that you could power the space shuttle.

FYI (from InterState Battery):

The Optima Yellowtop is NOT intended to be a starting battery. The Yellowtop is a deep cycle battery intended to run accessories. It cannot take the repeated big current draw necessary to start a car.

The Optima Redtop is the correct battery to start a car.

If you don't believe me, call Interstate Battery. 1-888-772-3600

Then why are they advertising it as a Start/ Deep Cycle Battery?

From Optimas Website:

Demand More from Your Vehicle?

The YellowTop is one of the only true dual-purpose batteries available. It is commonly used in any application that demands cranking power and heavy cycling. Trucks with winches, cars with high-demand audio systems, commercial trucks and equipment all rely on this battery to provide ultimate starting and deep cycle power.
Benefits and Applications:
Dual-purpose

* Deep cycling and cranking power all packed into one battery.

Optimal starting power

* More power in the initial 1, 3, 5, and 10 seconds of the starting process than comparably rated conventional lead-acid batteries.

---

HMMMM

Another funny thing about there website is they have a Z06 on there Domestic Performance page, but they dont list corvette under "Find Your Optima by Vehicle" LOL
