Default Recommendations for Best Setup for C6 Autocross

My wife and I have been autocrossing since 1980, using a variety of Corvettes. We are now acquiring a 2007 C6 convertible MN6 Z51.

So, I would like to hear recommendations from all you C6 experienced autocrossers out there.

First, we will NOT be using "R"ace compound tires (Hoosier A6).
We have done the "trailer/change wheels" bit for too many years.
So I was thinking of getting Toyo R888 tires all around,
(265x35-18 front and 305x30-19 rear) and probably
using my stock rims.

I plan to lower it using the stock suspension.

I was thinking of installing coil-overs.

And possibly to address some understeer, maybe a Z06 rear bar.

Of course, considerable negative camber in front (-1.5), and as much caster as we can get, and SOME toe ..... in or out ?

For the rear, again some negative camber (-0.5),
and SOME toe ..... in or out ?

What do you think?
Use Coil-overs? If so, who ?

Use Z06 rear bar?
If not, what ?

Camber and Toe settings ?

I welcome ALL recommendations, experiences, etc.

Thanks team.

Prolly get better information in the Autocrossing/Roadracing forum: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=23

I have Pfadt coilovers and they are terrific combined with poly bushings. Pfadts are adjustable (shocks - 16 ways) so you can dial in for track conditions.

Aaron from pfadt will echo..........def no Z06 rear sway. From personal experience on autocross track this year that bar is way to stiff for tight turns. Car will not hold traction what so ever. Stick with Z51 bar or pfadt bars.

I have the rear Z06 sway bar and I agree it is to stiff with the stock Z51 suspension. I am hoping when I install the coilover I can soften ther rear and the Z06 bar will work properly. Lowering the car alot doesn't really flow with the stock Z51 shocks I would recommend a upgrade.

With sticky tires, you won't have much if any understeer either.

you should look at the rule book before you do any mod, depends if you want to run championship days or not.

-stock car with new front sway bar, new shocks, stock wheel size with slicks gets you in SS

-change the rear sway bar and you jump to ASP

-install coil overs and you jump into SM2

Check the rules before you go blind on mods, many of the mods wont help you unless you are an expert.

If you use your car on the street, 265 F and 305 rear on stock rims are going to make your car feel funny (I am curious to see if you can fit the 265 toyo on there as I regret for getting the 255).

The car is already too low, you cant go any lower in it unless you want to become a plow truck.

Toe out in rear on RWD car = constant spinning
