quick MGW shifter question

quick MGW shifter question
Do I have to uninstall/reinstall the shifter to change the shifter handle between the C5 and C6 handle?
Or can I just pop the shift boot off and replace the handle?
I finally found the perfect shift **** for my liking but its only available in C5 fitment.

Yes! It is that easy! It took me maybe 20 minutes to remove the ****,and the boot and change the shaft when I went from the stock **** shaft to the threaded one for an aftermarket ****. Just another example of the brilliance of the MGW design.
I also bought a TWM,it weighs 1.32 pounds and is billet stainless dubbed the "Desert Eagle". It is available without the logo on top if you call and request it. The beadblasted finish matches the early C6 silver finished console perfectly. The overall size closely minics the stock ****.
