I saw a thread recently where someone was having intermittent problems with their fuel pump. He started the car and then began wiggling the wiring harness near the tanks. It turned out to be a cut wire. You can't actually get to the top of the drivers side tank, but you can get to the wiring by loosening the inner fender and reaching in. The passenger side has an access panel that allows you to get to the top of the tank. Might also check the ground. It is at the rear drivers side of the cradle.
