Default Slamming On Lowering Bolts????

We'll I spent $7500 on other things today so I wont be able to get the phadts with racing sway bars for a couple of months. I did a search and didnt see any slammed c6s. How far can I go down front and back with WCC lowering bolts? I understand coil overs are the correct way but I need my car dumped until then. Post some pics if you have them!

Default Lowering

Using the stock adjusters up front will get you in the weeds. If you go all the way which I did accomplishes the look & doesn't leave much room for more as the car will become a headache to drive. I've got used to it, & I can tell where I can & cannot go w/o bottoming out, but still occassionally scrape the center section. Out back did the same, lowered all the way, & cut 1/2 the bushing which pulls it down nicely. You can go lower for looks, but I can't envision any lower, at least up front, w/o making the car virtually undriveable. On the upside the side spoilers are under $20 from any dealer & take about 15 min or less to change out which I have done on both sides. The center is more, but it's a hard rubber & very resiliant & also hard to see at all when the car is slammed. Finally, working on the car becomes a pain too. Getting a jack under the front is impossible w/o running up on 2X material, step up 2 or 3 times, loading it for a front end alignment, oil change, hell anything is a pain.

Good to hear. I always trim the bottom rubber. My last Z was SLAMMED with the tires tucked, so I know how careful you have to be. I am glad I can dump it until I can get the coil overs. Do you have any pics? How is the ride with it dumped since you are loosing shock travel? Thanks for the response.

Cut the bolts but at least pick up some Bilstien shocks to get some of the travel back. I have always lowered my vettes but before I had coilovers I purchased the shorted Bilstein shocks.

Mine has the rear bushngs cut and Bilstein Sports. The front had to be raised a bit due to an A&A SC Kit, which lowered it approx. an inch.

This is when I first lowered it. the front could of gone lower, but I was scraping enough as it was.

This is after I raised it back up a little

Lowerd on WCC bolts. It was an easy job, just be sure to use plenty of silicone grease on the bushings.
