Andy has a really nice FI set using a Vortech set up says 550 rwhp
500 rwtq. Nice secure 8 rib set-up. On the fence big time here. Cam or just get the set up from Andy.
Go to the C6 FI/Nitrous sections for all the answers you need, and no you don't need the 8 rib for 550rwhp. Go with Andy's stealth baby blower cam, headers and vortech and make 650rwhp.
If you haven't called Andy yet, I would reach out to him for answers to any questions. I have Andy's Vortech kit on my '06 C6 and I'm very happy with the car & increased power.

I like the V3 s/c he has and he is first rate at what he does. I like the paxton's but the V3 is making me wait since the oil pan doesnt have to be tapped. I have to get one or the other though. You wont regret that shop.
I wouldnt bother with the cam. In the end smaller cams have earlier intake valve closing point and may make more low end for these applications. A smaller pulley solves the problem for power if you want more so why give up driveability.
I'm pretty sure Tom Wong has installed a couple of these kits and tuned them. You could install, limp up to Tom's on Andys generic tune and get her running right..Good luck, but your still going to have to do the wide body to get some rubber under the back end..

I had Charlie at RPM install and tune the A&A V3 Kit. My C6 is an A6 with only a catback exhaust. On RPM's full load control dynamometer, it produced 505 rwhp and 452 rwtq with a conservative tune. Charlie also did the new HP Tuners A6 software upgrade. IMO - You'll be extremely happy with the mod!
Honestly, I use to think tapping was that bad for the oil pan but its only took me an extra 15 minutes.. You already have the steering rack out of the way and the kit came with everything that you'll need to tap it with. Their drill bit will prevent the aluminum shreds from going into the oil pan. The only thing I can suggest for Andy is to package the 3/8 NPT tap with the kit. I had to run all over town to find it. Finally had to call a friend and he showed me where it was.
I was juggling with the idea of having to stock a 100 dollars a bottle of supercharger oil (thats how much Procharge costs, not sure how much Vortech) and having to order it every 3-5k miles. Of course you will have to change it religiously otherwise you will have a burnt up Supercharger that smokes due to bad bearings. In addition, you will have to access the drain plug of the supercharger (not as easy as the drain plug of the oil pan).
Anyways, that was what I went through. So just weight the advantages of each and decide for yourself.

So I guess this means you're done chasing the bolt on M6 record???
Good luck with the Blower, I got a paxton on my 98. Be careful, boost can be addicting...
I'm going in the morning to try. When I went the last time the track was not as sticky as the first time. Hopefully I can bring the sixty down,
It's all in the sixty and then easy shift to second, Last time 1st was holding but it would break loose on the shift to second. Plus I made a change and it's a little stronger on the top end! I think I am not doing a hard enough burnout either. A little luck and 11.46 here we come and
they will kick me off. The cut-off is 11.50
