Default Door rubbing panel *pics*

I just bought a 2006 C6. I didn't notice it before but when the passanger door is opened it rubs the quarter panel and has stripped the paint from the door and the panel.

Is there anyway to adjust this? Or could it be a warranty issue? It is still under MFG Warranty. Here are some pictures:

Thanks for your thoughts!!!!

There are three bolts under the fender that you must loosen, then move it a tad so that it doesn't rub.

Mine did that after my wreck and it sounds nasty hearing that rub. Mine did it if I let it heat up in the sun.

Long story short they (the dealership) fixed it for me and yes it should be covered.

Take it to the dealer and have them look at it.

I went to the dealer. They were quite rude, seemed like they didn't have time for my petty problem, but the service manager did say it was covered under warranty.

I came back that afternoon to pickup my car, they had corrected the issue on the passenger side. Then I noticed that it is also happening on the drivers door.

I asked the service manager if they could look at the drivers door also. He got upset and told me that they probably weren't going to get paid for the passengers door under warranty and I would have to pay to have the drivers door fixed.

Does this seem right???

No you should not have to pay. Find another dealer, one that cares about service. I know it is not easy, but it is possible.

Both of my front fenders were out of adjustment. The front passenger door was worse. It rubbed when opened fully and both doors stuck out on the bottom farther that the fenders so when sand and rocks hit the doors it chipped the paint. Both my doors were repainted and the fenders adjusted under warranty. If they give you any problems I would go directly to GM and file a complaint.

What are the odds of you buying car from that dealer? Then GM wants to know why they lost 15.5 Billion dollars....
