Default Loudmouth on ls3?

Looking at catbacks for a c6 they are all very expensive. slp loumouth is actually prety good priced. Why are the other brands so much higher. I had slp loudmouth on both my 98 ss and my 2000 ws6 and loved it to death. But once I had longtubes with no cats it was WAY to loud. How is it for the c6. BTW I hate drone and cant stand it.

It's the same for the C6. It has drone and it is exactly what the name says, a loudmouth I think you might be happier in the longrun if you saved up a little bit longer and got the GHL magnums. They are a great deep sounding loud exhaust with very little to NO drone at all.

Not knocking SPL's product but the saying "you get what you pay for" rings true here. There is a reason it is the cheapest cat back available. Loudmouths sound pretty good on a stock car but god forbid you do longtubes or any engine mods BRING EARPLUGS.

I agree, I had the original LM on my Firehawk when I had the stock manifolds/cats. It sounded good but it also had quite a bit of drone, especially with the windows up on the highway. I switched it out to a Magnaflow right before I went to LT's and a ORY because I heard a friend's car that had the LM w/ LT's and no cats. The thing was pretty obnoxious.

I don't think the catted xpipe is going to make a huge difference.

As the poster stated below, I also do not think it would make much of a difference. Maybe try the bullets if you want it loud but not insane raspy loud. I had the billy boat bullets on my C5 Z06 and liked them alot.

Cats will make all the difference in the world on any straight-through muffler/resonator style exhaust system.
