Default Skip Shift - Code

I searched and found plenty but not the answer. Is it necessary to disconnect the batt to keep from throwing a code when plugging up the Skip Shift eliminator? I would prefer to not have to re-index the windows.

Thanks

The ignition is off. The circuit is dead. Plug the !CAGs in and be done with it. Leave the battery connected to the car. Now, drive and have fun.

I installed my CAGS Eliminator and did not disconnect my battery. No issues and it works like a champ.

Oh well. The eliminator (Wild2Mild) was only $17 bucks, very easy to connect and after driving for a couple hours today seems to work perfectly. If the 1-4 light does come on, it should go away after one shift anyway.

I was unsuccessful at programming the visor buttons so I just pulled the lighter and with a small piece of velcro stuck the remote in it's place. Very convienent and outta sight.

Thanks everyone for the input. This is a very helpful forum.
