Default Sharing exhaust experience

I installed GMPP Touring on my 05 auto and want to report my experience with other members to maybe help someone choose an exhaust for their car. This is mufflers only. They have a mild growl at idle and a little louder than stock but you can now hear the exhaust note. Running down the highway cruising at 70 mph you can barely hear the exhaust and does not interfere with your conversations and listening to music. When you nail it to pass or merge on the interstate they will sound off with some growl but nothing that is obnoxious. For my taste I give them a 10 for mufflers that are not dual mode. I have some NPP that I am going to try out but will keep the touring in case I want to reinstall someday.
Anyone that has tried several other mufflers and now has the NPP I would like to here your opinion on them.

Great to be part of this wonderful group.

Thanks for the info, haven't as yet tried the npp. Right now I've been experimenting with modifying the stock mufflers per other threads.

I have this too and would agree with this description. My mistake was not listening to the setup BEFORE the purchase. I won't do that again. I am looking for a bit more grunt without the drone at speed. NPP sounds like the way to go, but I will hear it first before I switch.
Hope this helps.

I used to love the NPP. I would leave it open all the time with the mild-2-wild switch. Ever since getting headers the NPP is just too loud open. It gives me a headache after 10 minutes. Closed it is too quiet. At this point I'm not ready to give up on the NPP. I might try Ed's new option which only allows the butterflys to open partially.

Exhaust sound is so subjective it's like asking what your favorite color is...You have to decide for yourself. I have heard the GMPP system and I thought it fell right between stock and wide open NPP without headers. Put headers on and you might as well start all over again because each system will again sound different.

As far as sound goes I'd rank NPP down towards the bottom. I hate their sound.

I dont think you'll like the NPP more than you like the GMPP/Borla exhaust. It will be louder (because borla touring is close to stock), but the tone wont be as good.

The best exhausts I've heard for this car are Borla Stingers and Corsa Extremes.
