Default Jammed Roof Panel

I have a 07 coupe and the other day ran over a small pothole and I had my solid roof panel stored in the back! I heard a clicking noise in the back storage area and now I can't unlock my roof to put it back on the car! The roof seems to be jammed somehow! Anybody else experience this and if so what did you do to get it out? Thank you! You guys on the forum are the best!!!

That is odd because it really doesn't lock back there. The rear pins just go into some clips but they don't wrap around, just hold the sides tight. I know mine fits good and snug. Just try giving it a good tug

I was wondering which part was stuck (front or back), but I now see it's the back. I was looking at mine this morning and noticed that there is a small indentation on the rear brackets where the pins snap into. I'm wondering if there was enough force to shove the pins threw the plastic brackets. I would try pushing the top forward before lifting straight up. That might work.

Whenever something is stuck for me, I reach into the tool chest and get my BFD. Translation: Big F$%king Hammer.

perhaps a couple light tap with a rubber mallet will loosen it up. At least you will see if there is any movement and which direction. Nothing hard. Cover it with a towel.

Try pushing forward and while pushing forward, lift up at the rear to remove the pins from the rear mounting brackets. You may need a helper, one person to push and one to lift.

I finally got it unjammed! Couldn't believe how tight she was! Gave it a couple of quick shakes sideways and she unhooked! Nothing damaged thank God and to think I was only doing about 20mph over this pothole! Thanks for the help!
