Got on 05 vert
Im getting new rims most likely from house of wheels.
I want to keep front size stock 18x8.5 But plan on changing rear setup to a 20" x 11" rim. Will that fit width wise, and what size tire should I go with???
Unless you want problems with the TC and A/H you have to replace tires with the same as stock diameter F & R. Since you are keeping the front tire stock diameter you will have to keep the rear tire the stock diameter of aprx. 26.9".
Try to find a 20" tire with 26.9" diameter that will fit a 20" X 11" wheel.
I have no idea. It probably depends on the offset of the wheel as to whether a wider TIRE (not wheel) would rub. Some on this Forum claim a 305mm width tire will fit without rubbing but I don't know what offset or wheel width they are using. I had 295mm tire on stock offset 10" wheels and they didn't rub, not even close.
Speak with Bob as he is very helpful and I purchased my black aftermerkets there. MAKE SURE you size them right as stated by haljensen below......

I was tripping codes AT THE TRACK with the aftermarkets BUT NOT on the streets with everyday driving. It would throw codes at the track and actually slow down the car's times. I learnt my lesson once and hope to help you BEFORE you buy the wrong sizes.
Just remember the tires alesman is a SALESMAN, his job is to sell you tires. Stock 245/40/18 will mount on anywhere from 7.5" to 9.5" wheels but only "fit" 8.5". Check the manufacturers site, they will usually give reccomended wheel sizes for the tire size but remember my first statement above, they're there to sell tires.
