I own a '06 C6 Z06. Last weekend I tried to use the horn, but it did not work. I pressed on the steering wheel center pad near the "horn symbols" embossed on both the right & left side of pad. However, when I pushed on the bottom part of the center section (near the bottom of the steering wheel), it worked fine. Horn also works when I push the "panic button" on the fob, and the horn "chirps" when I lock the doors with the fob.
Is there something wrong with the contacts in the steering wheel? Anyone else experience this problem? Is there a quick fix, or will this necessiate a trip to the dealer?

Thanks for your assistance.
Yeah, mine does the exact same thing. I'm going to remove the center air bag module and look for the problem ( holes in the back of the steering wheel assembly, use a piece of coat hanger or equivalent). It has to be some kind of contact problem easily adjusted.
