Head Up Diplay - C6 Competition
First of all hello to everybody (don't know if it's the right place for the introductions) ... I'm Niccolò, I live in Italy and I'm 44.
I just got my brand new C6 competition. Wonderful car ... excellent performance.
As far as I'm in Italy and as you know this version is coming without HUD. There is any option to install this in aftermarket ?
Can someone help me on this ?
If so do you know any serious dealer I can contact in order to buy the parts. I'll be in the US mid of September.
If someone knows the list of the required parts it will help a lot.
If I can bring this back to Italy I can find here the way to mount it.

Thanks for the info. I reviewed the entries.
Tried also to contact one dealer in Florida but everything seems for years up to 2004.
Nothing for C6 2008. Also the reported parts number didn't match in the GM official catalogue. He wasn't able to provide the new part numbers.
There is someone that acquired the kit for the c6? If so from who ?

I bought my HUD projector here on the forum out of a car that was being converted to a race car. You may keep an eye out the the for sale area. Look on ebay, there was a vendor there selling complete kits. You can talk to Gene at www.gmpartshouse.com if you want new parts he would be the guy to talk with first. I think member gmautotech here on the forum can make you the custom harness that is necessary to wire it in. You cannot buy the harness from GM, it is a custom piece. I know you can buy the dash controls and bezel from Gene, not sure about the HUD unit itself.

I'll installed the HUD last weekend. I'm actually writing up a "how to" at the moment. Hopefully I'll have it done by the end of the weekend. I bought all of my parts through the forum "C6 parts for sale/trade" board here as well.
