Just go with a stock battery unless you drive your car dailey. If car is sitting for any lenght of time your battery will drain on you. Buy a standard battery and a good battery tender.
What battery would you recommend replacing the stocker with for the stock location and why?
What battery would you recommend replacing the stocker with for the stock location: The AC Delco Professional series battery
Why: It is a high quality battery, it fits properly, the terminals are correct and the tie down is correct, & good warranty. Simply put, it is the correct battery for the car.

My OEM Delco died suddenly with no warning right at 3 years. Because I've had issues with sudden death and leaky Delco batteries (with side terminals), I have no problem with using another brand. I did some research and found Interstate brand makes one that dropped right in. The terminals are in the right position and it was the same size.
I moved the labels from the Delco OEM battery and stuck them over the Interstate labels to fool people. They fit perfect.

Seems like the factory batteries are on a 36 month timer.
I've read on here about the factory batteries going after 3 yrs without warning, so I just installed an Optima red top in my '05. It only cost me about $123, after the rebate, from Advance Auto.
