FRAME DAMAGE: Drive it or Sell it?
A friend here in Houston turned a corner a little too sharp and managed to hit a curb. The damage was thought to have been limited to the scuff of a rim but now it appears that the frame was possibly bent 1/4 to 1/2 an inch.
He is getting it straightened (put on a frame straightener and pulled back in line) but understandably is upset and considering selling the car. If this were you what would you do and do you think it will effect the future drivability, etc of the car. Since it is not an insurance thing it will never hit a carfax (I assume).
So the question remains - is this a big deal or not. The shop assures him he will never know the frame was touched after it is brought in line by what they tell him is a very small amount but necessary to make the car 100% again.
Thanks

The other problem is even though it's not on Carfax, he should really declare the damage when he's selling it which will make it harder to sell.
