Default 09 Issues?

I did the RC8 museum delivery back on 8-22-08. I now have 2300 miles on the car, through seven states.

A/C issue: On Friday, while heading to Minnesota, at 7:30 am, temp in the low 70s, the A/C stopped working. Adjusting fan speed did nothing. After turning off the A/C, the fan slowly started working properly, but no A/C. A call to On-Star resulted in an appointment at a "local" dealer (if any dealer is "local" in Northern Minnesota.) After lunch in Albert Lee, MN, we headed down the highway only to have the A/C working normally. It continued to do so the rest of the trip (I cancelled my appointment, as the dealer said, "Gee, we don't sale Corvettes and no-one really knows how to work on them." This was the Iron Trail Motors in Virginia, MN.)

Any ideas? Did the system freeze, like my old 1970 Impala?

Alignment: The other issue is that the factory alignment is clearly out as I am already getting a bit of feathering on the rear inner driver and outer passenger tires. I figure that with 2000 plus miles, the suspension has adequately “settled” (especially on those Minnesota and Iowa roads). I bought the car through Wes at the forum dealer Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield, MO, and will now try to get my warranty work done locally in Kansas City. Any recommendations on local dealers? How have others with forum dealers done with local repairs?
