OK all has been good on the install until the rear bottom push pins the guard has a raised area that is keeping the face of it out to far for the pins length??
to me its as if the wheel well plus the guard are to think for the pin to work on??
any have any install pointers on this - also now I need some more pins with this kind of range of grab..........
PS tried trimming the guard some - no help - I am hoping to not have to remove it so I do not need new tape also.........
I had to open the holes up a bit with the drill over the 21/64" and then used the handle of a hammer to apply more force on them than I could do with my thumb and they went in but not without a struggle.

I know what you're talking about. I had trouble with that too. One I just game up on. The other I was able to get in by just starting with the bottom plug and pressing hard. I think if I could get my hand on the other side of the trim and push against it, it wouldn't be a problem.
Just installed mine yesterday. After reading some posts on the subject, I knew going in the bottom pin would be tough because the guard is thicker at the bottom pin area. So when I installed the bottom pin, I used a flathead screwdriver to push the base of the pin and splash guard really hard against the wheel well. By using the screwdriver to push the base of the pin and splashguard I was able to get it very tight against the wheel well. Then, while still pushing the base of the pin and guard against the wheel well with the screwdriver, I used the butt end of another screwdriver to push the actual pin into place. Worked like a charm, and the pins are in tight.
I like the screws. I think the procedure should be to first just form the guard against the fender with the double sided tape and stick it to the fender. Put some painters tape on the inside to hold it against the fender liner and drill the holes thru the guard as a template. Use the pushpins or screws.
I just screwed the rears in. The pins didn't work well.
Hmm good thought.... I just finished fighting the lower rear pins in - I would suggest trimming the raised part of the guard around the lower pin to allow the guard to be pushed in easier....
