hello! i installed an priorty start on my 2006 c6 , and am having problems!! i installed it and it said to turn the headlites on to test it ,put not sure how to do that! and after it sit overnite it started fine next morning, and then one hour later it was diconnected and i reset it and ten minutes later it did it again! anyone have any problems??
I have these on both of my cars. They work great. Make sure you have installed per instructions and connected the wiring in the order that it tells you to.
To turn the headlights on, put you car in accessory mode and turn headlights on. Let then turned on until the priority start shuts the battery off. This will take up to 45 or 50 min on a good battery. Make sure your battery is good with a charge and a load test. After the priority start shuts off, push the cig lighter in to turn the battery back on.
i just installed a new battery and rehooked the priorty switch!! hope it works this time! how do u get in ur car after it shuts off?? is urs a c6 or which??
but priorty start says to install a switch inline with the ground wire on it,on the outside of the car someplace! then u reset it that way! was wondering how anybody else did it??
PriorityStart! monitors battery voltage and automatically disconnects any undesired drain on your battery as the voltage reduces, when the engine is not running. It essentially is a battery disconnect switch. The disconnect threshold is factory set at 11.7 Volts.
Just step on the brake pedal, operate the headlight switch, or any other electrical accessory and it automatically reconnects. It is very simple to remember! It is a fully automatic engine starting protection for your car or boat! When it comes to your battery - starting is the priority!

On the C6 the brake or lights did not reset the unit. They operate the computer and do not put enough load on the system.
I have to press in the cig lighter to reset the start unit.
