Default Engine Rattle/Ticking on cold startup

I did a search on this and the closest matches I could find were related to recent exhaust work.

I have a 2005 coupe with 30,000 miles. I recently noticed an engine rattle that is present while stationary and moving. It only happens on a cold startup, and quickly dissapears as the engine warms up. It grows louder as the engine revs. It sounds regular and mechanical, (i.e. not something flapping around) almost like lifter noise. Again it dissapears as the engine warms, and I have noticed no difference in engine performance. Any ideas? I still have a warranty on it, but I don't want to take it in if this a minor thing. Thanks!
