Default Head and Cam question?

I have a ls2 with a 228/232 .598 .608 114lsa cam. Will the pistons clear on the l92 70cc head? Thanks for any help.

It is going to be very tight. The massive 2.165" intake valve is going to really limit your intake piston-to-valve clearance. One available option is a ported L92/LS3 casting like the Precision Race Components heads. When the valve job is performed, we can sink the valves deeper for additional p-to-v clearance. We have installed our PRC ported L92/LS3 cylinder heads with our 228R (228/228, .588"/.588", 114 LSA) camshaft on LS2 Corvettes without having to fly-cut the pistons.

Feel free to give us a call with any questions or concerns.
