I've read quite a few threads regarding lowering the C6, but didn't see one thread that mentions preloading the bushings.
To my understanding, after a vehicle's been lowered, the suspension bushings need to be dialed in to that new ride height.
Since the vehicle is lowered like an inch or two, isn't it necessary to loosen and re-righten the bolts for the a-arms and such?
I also thought that our bushings are oil-filled, which is supposed to be more sensitive to change in heights.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Well, actually suspension bushings should get their final torqueing while on the ground, weight on the wheels. You can just loosen and re-tighten. A slight lowering won't pre-load them much though. I don't know where you got that "Oil" idea. Suspension bushings are just rubber....Nothing exotic!

Thanks for the reply.
I must have been having a brain fart. I thought I read somewhere that our bushings are oil-filled like the ones used in BMWs.
Thanks for the clarification.
