I got the "SERVICE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM" message and it wont reset with the reset button. I have the HP Tuner software and the code doesn't show up on it, so I'm guessing it is coming from the BCM rather than the ECM. I tried disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for an hour or so and once reconnected it immediatley came on with startup. I checked every electrical system connection I could find, including grounds but haven't found anything to cause it. The "Service Charging System" message has come on ocassionaly when I've hit 7,000+ rpm but this is different. The charging system seems to be fine... The only only suspect item is a power inverter hardwired directly to the battery but it has been there for 6 months now and the problem just started a couple of weeks ago.
Any ideas how to go about trouble shooting this and how to turn the message off, short of taking it to the dealer?
there is a code it is in the ECM log. I think it is P6021 the L terminal code. Make sure your elec syst is OK if so this code can be diabled by HPT and you will not get the message again.

What is the L Terminal?
I have P6021 unchecked and No MIL Light already. Should it be set to "No Error Reported"?
I do remember getting the L Terminal DTC previously, so your probably right, but I would still like to know what it senses and how to fix it right rather than disabling it...
