Service Charging System
I'm getting service charging system message and voltage drops to 11.5 at idle when lights are on.
I just change cam and UD pulley on the car on a 06 C6 MN6.
Need some input

I had the same problem soon after I went to an UD pulley. Whenever I came to a light and stopped for a few seconds it would come on. Mine would do it with or without my lights on. I just had the code turned off by my tuner. Fixed it.

A lot of people are having this problem after installing an underdrive pulley. Been lots of discussion on this. Your onboard computer is telling you that your not getting enough voltage to properly operate your vehicle. This results in the battery trying to maintain proper voltage to run your car instead of the alt. as it was designed to. Turning off the code does not eliminate the problem, it only makes it appear to go away. The pulley on the alt. is turning slower than designed resulting in reduced output voltage at idle.
