I have the MGM, and am very happy with it. I did have to adjust my shifting habits just a bit, make sure I pushed the clutch in a hair sooner before shifting, but It's working out fine now.
Mine was quiet to begin with, but now has a slight buzz, that I don't notice when I'm really on it...
The 15 and 30 refer to the reduction in shift throw from the stock unit. So if you go with the 15% you will be getting a 15% shorter throw then what you have now and the 30% will give you a 30% shorter throw then what you have now.
From what I understand the 15% will have less resisistance when shifting gears. With that said I have the 30% and it is no hard to shift at all. I think George made the 15% for those who have shoulder injuries and our elderly brothers here.
If you looking a dramatic reduction get the 30%. Beleive me my 10yro nephew would have no problems shifting it.
Thanks – should I assume that by default I will receive the 30% model when I place the order?

After getting the B&M early last year, I wished I had gotten the MGM. Not that the B&M is bad, but the MGM construction appears better. Especially the elimination of the plastic grease cup which seems a little cheesy anyway.

I would assume you should have a choice between the two but when I ordered I just called in and told them what I wanted. That might be the best option if the website is not showing a choice.

Note; the Hurst shifter reuses the plastic cup on the shifter ball....
I havn't tried any other shifters in my car, but through recomendations of this forum, I went with the MGW. Installed it today in my 05 C6, no problems or unusual noises noted after a 20 mile test run.
I'm Happy with it!
