I am having a problem with vibrations on my Callaway shifter on my 08 Vette. At Higher RPM's it vibrates fairly violently, and it is actually a little noisy.
The first time it started developing the noise/vibration I uninstalled the shifter then re-installed it, a couple of hundred miles later the sound was back. I did purchase it used from a forum memeber, and all the parts were in tact.
If anybody has any ideas on what it might be and can help me out, I would really appreciate it. I'd hate to have to go back to a stock shifter, but I don't know how much more of this vibration I can take.
I would call Scott @ Callaway 860 434 9002 on Monday and ask him what might be the issue. It is not normal. I do not have any vibes - 34,000 miles wth a Callaway shifter
The shifter in not creating the vibration, just transferring it from the source to your right hand. There is something wrong in the trans or rear axle that is causing the vibration. It may be a simple as a broken mount or it may be as serious as a broken gear tooth.

The part I thought was strange was that it was good when first installed, and then re-installed. It's like it was developed over a short period of time. I think I might just call the guy from Callaway and find out what's up... Thanks
