I found what appears to be my answer .... all lights adjust up or down as a unit, hi and low beams.
I did the white bulb change on my hi beams and since then it appears that those lights are waaay up in the sky. I'm sure, 100%, that I installed them correctly and they are a fixed focus lens so there should be no way to goof that part up. If I select hi beams I see nothing down the road, not a bit more than just lows. Using stop signs, etc as a target. If I point the car toward a wall 40-ish feet away, I see the hi beams way up the wall, greatly separated from the top of the lo beams.
Has anyone encountered this? And has anyone found a way to adjust hi and lo independently? The last post I saw on this issue was years ago so maybe, just maybe, there have been new developments on adjusting.
I replaced my Hi Beams with a brighter bulbs and had no issues. As the housing is keyed, there should be no way to do it wrong. Only thing I can think of is that you ended up with the wrong part.
Thanks for your reply. I agree that there should be NO way to have goofed it. Lo beams seem correct so I am sure I didn't get the housings out of adjustment. As for part being wrong, nope I used the correct bulbs and they are seated in the holder same as the old ones. Oh well, maybe I need to replace with the sock bulbs and try the "wall" test again to see if there is indeed any difference.
