Default Stock Exhaust - Sell/keep?

Some may have seen my post about the new Borlas on my car.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do with the old exhaust? Should I keep them for possible resale (prob not ever going to happen), toss them, or try to sell them?

So, I'd say keep it.
Just in case you decide to trade in your Vette for another/newer one.

Keep. If you trade in, a dealer or picky buyer will want the stock exhaust and you can always sell the Borlas.

Keep them, you might get tired of the after market exhaust and put the stock system back on. I did.

There is absolutely no value there period. I kept mine for three years and finally cut the tips off then trashed the rest.

I kept the stock exhaust from an '01 coupe after putting ZO6 mufflers on it. When I sold the car last August I gave the stock mufflers to the new owner. He was happy to get them and I was happy to get them out of here.

I threw mine in a dumpster... but that's before I found this forum and discovered that some people will happily buy almost anything

I just called a scrap dealer HE buys the cats, wouldn't throw them away. He said my 08 Cats were bringing 100.00 dollars. So a little over a hundred in scrap value. For the whole exhaust.

Nobody mentioned cats....they're referring to a cat back system only.

I sold my cats and manifolds right away. I was referring to just the exhaust pipe and mufflers, which are useless.

I kept mine, in case I buy another C6. I found on my 04 C5 that the dealer didn't give me squat for any mods I had on the car, so I decided that if I trade or sell this car for another C6 (or anther vehicle) I will put the stock mufflers back on (along with everything else I have replaced) before I trade or sell it, then try to sell the replacement parts (or install them on the new C6!). Probably more trouble than worth to most people, but I would just as soon try and recover a little of my investment than simply give it away.

I had Borla's and dumped them for Z06 mufflers due to the constant drone. If I want drone I have it but the wife likes them closed.

I'd hang on to them if I were you for the reasons stated above.

hold on to your stock exhaust in case you ever need to sell the car. Its worth next to nothing anyway.

I kept mine and will likely be putting them back on. I had BB Rt 66s put on a month ago and am not real pleased with them. Glad I kept the stock pipes at least.
