Default 92mm TB question

I was considering getting the FAST 92mm throttle body. It cost about 350, but has anyone used it and what were the improvments?

I have an '08 (see sig with all my options and mods so far). Or should I get the Vmax ported TB for much less?

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=2134837

Thanks for any info!

I've been told that the factory TB will be good till up to about 450-500rwhp which is where if you were to switch them out you would notice a difference. IMO just port the one you have now.

I would go with the ported stock TB. This Forum has provided a great deal of support for the ported stock TB and I have yet to see any support for the FAST. I'm sure the FAST will provide improvement but for $200 more, not sure you will see that great a difference over the ported stock TB.

You might talk to member-vendor "spinmonster" and find out if this is a worthwhile purchase.

That is what I suspected. I think I will go with the ported TB from vmax which uses a GM part. I have had problems in the past using non-OEM parts and sometimes they dont sit correctly.

If this is true then I will go with the ported stock and save myself the $200 and still get the same results.

Thanks!
