i am doing the rear zo6 conversion next week and untill i find a set of rims i will be keeping the stocks on there for a bit..i know some people put spacers on..which size spacers should i use to fit the zo6 fenders correctly?
I used 2 inch spacers. 1.7 inches is probably optimal, but all I could find were either 1.5 or 2 inch.
Your studs should be fine. Whether you have a z06 wheel or a c6 wheel with a 2 inch spacer, you have about the same distance between the hub mounting surface and the outer edge of the rim, so the load on the studs is about the same.
Most of the wheel suppliers have them. Check with some of the forum sponsors. I remember seeing them on some of there sights. I think mine are only one inch but I already had 1" wider wheels with 305 Nitto Invo's on the back. Looks about right till I can get the wider rims and run the 345's.
Bought mine, 1.7" spacers, from Skulte Performance Design. In a couple of weeks I will be selling my 1.7" spacers and my stock 05 chrome wheels that were widened to 19x12" by Weldcraft Wheels in case somebody is interested. Just PM me if interested.
