Body Repair advise needed
My dad backed into the opened passenger door of my 06, C6 coupe.
He damaged the trailing edge of the door. No damage to the rear quarter.
I took it to a local shop and they estimated the repair at $850.
Repair damage, remove mirror, paint and fade in door and quarter, clear coat door and quarter.
He said he wanted to remove the mirror so that there would be not chipping of the clear coat due to making the mirror.
He claimed that when the work was complete damage would be completely indistinguishable.
I trust this guy as he has done other work for me and his work is very good. I am just wondering if the price as quoted is in line?
Opinions are requested.
Thanks,

It sounds good to me. It's hard to get any body work and paint done for under $1000.

I would go with a reliable source especially that he can blend it in. Use your Dads insurance to drive down the cost

The price sounds more than reasonable due to the damage location, so he is going to have to do a perfect repair to go undetectable. I assume your shop guy checked for hinge damage and alignment?

It wasn't hit hard enough to cause alignment issues. The only damage is what is seen.
