Default New Wheel/Trire combo... Good?

18x9.5 fronts with 285/30ZR18 PROXES T1R
19x11 rears with 315/25R19 PROXES T1R

Anyone have ANY idea if this combo will work/perform/not look retarded?

<-- awesome

25 profile? you will have a 4" gap in the rear and I am pretty sure your front will be about 1" larger then the rears in profile. I think it will look really off, not to mention a crappy ride/ worse traction due to less of a sidewall. I wouldnt go any lower then 30 profile but thats just me...

I like the idea of 18x9.5 fronts with 285. So many owners don't go wide enough in front. Having closer widths between front and rear makes for better handeling

But I agree with timafey that the rears should be 30s on the sidewall.

I also have Toyo Proxes T1R and like them very much. Great price and a good street tire with a high performance rating. They hold well on curves and are fairly sticky for a tire that has a descent life. They look sharp too. I actually went up an inch to 19/20 which helped lessen the wheel well gap.

But He can always buy 17x9 Rear wheels w/ DR Tires for traction when he needs them

I was thinking about doing that wheel/tire combo, but was afraid about bigger gap above the tire as previous posters mentioned. Also, would be a rough ride, and speedo would be way off; would need a tune. You are probably in the same boat as me and was as wide a tire as possible without rubbing and that will fit on the 19x11 wheel. Nobody makes a 315/30R19. Hopefully someone will by the time I need tires next spring. Right now I am leaning towards the Nitto Invo's 275/35R18 or 265/35R18 with 305/30R19 combo. According to what I have read here, the rears have to be at least .6 inches taller than the front to not cause AH issues.

24.73 inches tall front 285/30R18
25.2 inches tall rear 315/25R19
Stock front 25.72 inches tall 245/40R18
Stock Rear 26.85 inches tall 285/35R19
25.3 inches tall front 265/35R18
25.6 inches tall front 275/35R18
26.2 inches tall rear 305/30R19

Anyone know of any tire available in 315/30R19???
Also, how many guys have stuffed a 325/30R19 onto a 19x11 wheel? I ran into a guy at a road course who has put hoosier 325/30R19 on his stock 19x10 wheels for a few years now with no issues. That would make me a little nervous.
