Default Crane lifter question

I am looking to buy a set of Crane lifters and have a question.

To the best of my knowledge, roller lifters are interchangeable between LS1, LS2, LS6, etc. But, while looking at the Crane website, they list a different lifter for 1997-98 LS1 engines and then a different for 1999 and up. (see below)

The reason I am asking is I have a lead on a set of the "older" style and want to use them in my LS2. And yes, I will contact the Crane tech line as well, but was wondering if anyone can shed light on this.

Part Number: 144530-16
Application CHEVROLET V-8 2000-UP, 5.7L LS1 AND VORTEC 4800, 5300, 6000 Description O.E. Design for 2000-up blocks originally equipped with hydraulic roller cam and lifters.

Part Number: 10530-16
Application CHEVROLET V-8 87-98, 305 AND 350 CU. IN. AND LS1 5.7L Description O.E. design for 87-98 blocks originally equipped with hydraulic roller cam and lifters.
