I've got an 08 A6 with A&A supercharger kit pushing 6lbs of boost. I went to the track a couple of weeks ago and could only get a 1.8 60'. I'm running M/T 275/45/17 drag radials with 25lbs of air. I see guys getting a 1.6 60' with less power and the same tire with an A6. Am I doing something wrong? I power brake to about 1100 rpm then it starts to push the front tires. I have the tranny in S mode and competitive mode and just put it to the floor all the way down. I'm planning on trying it again tomorrow.
ANY HELP would be appreciated. Thanks for a great forum!!
if you plan to keep your diff/ from going out on you i must tell you do not try and race with your competitive mode is a no no with m/t what competitive mode is for like the 24 hr of lamans not for 1/4 times you will blow up your diff/ quick if you keep it up trust me i did it and bam boom bam went my diff/

Sounds like you need a stall. The subfloor has been very helpful with me here and his knowledge thus far has been so helpful and more extensive than anyone I have talked to.
My car is STOCK with the exception of a Vararam CAI and a Cartek tune... it has a STOCK converter, & I have a handful of 1.85x 60' times.. I find its best leaving at 1200 rpm..
As for you with a supercharger, I may have missed it in this thread, but have you had the TUNE done to remove TM as much as possible?
My car was running 12.5x with 1.95 60' times stock.. after Cartek tuned it and installed the CAI my 60' went to 1.85 - 1.86
I'm also using MT 265/40x18 Drag Radials at 30 LB of air... I AM NOT SPINNING AT ALL !
I can GAR-UN-TEE 1.70 60' times when I get a 3200 converter, and I'm sure it will go in the 11s I have 3.15 gears..
I'm headed to the track this week-end with my tuner. My tuner data logged a couple of passes 2 weeks ago.He called me the other night and said he found a few things he can adjust. I'll ask him about the torq management. Thanks to everyone for all the info. What mode should I pui it in if not competitive mode? thanks again

Went back to the track and tried all the advise everybody gave me. The best I got was 1.80, alomost a 1.7. I did pick up a 1/10 and 2mph. My best run of the day was 11.1@128. So things did get alittle better. Maybe a I'll get a stall by next season. What size stall do you guys recommend? It is a daily driver. Thanks for all the help.

Nice pass!
Can you post the slip or give the break down of the slip?
With your setup, i would get either 2800 or 3200 vigilanti stall converter.
Of course they didn't have a slip for that run,but I got the break down
60 ft-1.806
330'-4.814
1/8-7.2
mph-102.52
1/4-11.158
mph-128.74
I was happy with it. I had 2 11.1 runs but the other the mph was only124.45. I'll keep at it.
