I had higher stall TC in my 1998 TA and still on the original 4L60E transmission. The car has been higher stalled for 90K miles. The key is heat control. Make sure you install a B&M Transmission Cooler and you should be fine. When I race the car, once the trans temp hit 200 degrees, time for a cooldown period. Don't buy a cheap converter either. The only converters I would consider are Yank and Precision Industries (Vig).
