I run 12.4's all day long on a cool day with street tires. A lot of guys are pushing the 11's with a few mods & tires with a LS2 like me. I know, since I've raced a M6 before, go with the A6. It makes more sense.
Those are some great times! I prefer road racing, but the drags are fun!!! This would my first auto. Thanks for the feedback! I was really toying with the 06, but no manual auto! The paddle shift is a real attraction for me. I haven't found a test report on the C6A6, I don't know why!

Be advised the guys who are running those # with the A6 (paddle shift) are not shifting it, they are putting in S and letting the car shift itself...
I'm not sure but if you put it in First and shift to 2nd gear with the paddle shift too soon the car will remain in first until it reaches it's ideal shift point...
That helps a lot! I'm suprised there isn't a thread focusing on the A6's. The last auto I drove was a '67 Impala 327 with a turbo 400 and I used the same shifting technique. It would shift very hard and bark them in three gears. The motor mounts finally broke loose while power braking.

Actually 2006 is the first year of the 6L80/A6 automatic trans (and all Corvette A6s do in fact have the paddles)...if that's what you mean by "manual auto" that is.

Not true....When you hit the shift paddle it upshifts at that point, not any sooner or later. If you don't shift it hits the rev limiter and stays in that gear.....
