Default Box O Rocks

My motor sounds likes it has rocks in it on light throttle application after accelerating. By that I mean it does not make this noise during normal to hard acceleration, only during the time I feather it to shift or hold it at current rpm with light load. It is worse when the engine is cold. The car has 29K miles on it and is a DD. It still pulls strong and idles perfectly with no knocking.

Any ideas?
Is it common?
Timing chain?
Clutch rattle?

TIA

loose things can do that...like an exhaust shield ratle...maybe your synchros in the transmission are making some noise...what rpms does it do it?

I had a sideways exhuast clamp that made my car do the same thing at idle to about 1200 rpm. Then I moved it and it went away.

It's an 05. Thanks for the inputs. I may have to take it in and have it checked. I have the GMPP on it so hopefully whatever the problem is they cover it. It was a GM certified car when I bought it in July with 20K on it. Based on my experience so far I personally I don't think that means they did anything more than wash it, clean the interior, and add some tire shine.
