Default '08 End Link & Clunking - Correct P/N?

All,

At ~6K miles I had a clunking noise from the rear of the car that turned out to be failed front end links. It was repaired under warranty and they used P/N: 15907003 for the links.

Now, ~6K miles later its back...go figure....brand new car. They are torqued down fine as well as the brackets.

Anyhow, I go and buy a new one (now its P/N: 25932329) so that I don't have to leave it at the dealer for a day for a $30 part and put it on the side that I think is bad....no worky.

Turns out I can isolate the bad side by opening the door and shaking the car....it makes a clicking noise. If I reach in and slightly twist the passenger side link it stops so its bad.

The question now is, what is the friggin P/N? I looked on gmpartsdirect and they show both of these to be good P/N's.

Anyone have access to the current P/N database that could help me out here?

TIA,

Nevermind, I was able to find this on the web.

"Part number 15907003 was superseded by part number 25932329" so all is good....well at least I have a good part on my car but the other one replaced under warrantly is bad after 6K miles. Maybe they had a design issue?

First rule of dealing with car companies. They design every part of the car perfectly, it is either the suppliers fault or abuse by the owner.

Ok, this is driving me nuts. The front left end link keeps failing. The dealer has replaced it once, I've done it twice and now at 17K its bad again. It starts clicking and causing thumping noises within the cabin. It could be coming loose but I don't understand why all of the other three that I've tightened wouldn't be having the same issues.

Anyone seen the same issue or have any ideas? I've tightened about every suspension bolt to spec on the whole front end of the car.

The GM links are junk.
I bought the heavy duty Pfadt's when they had them. No problems for sevral thousand miles now.
I'd buy the LG links. Otherwise you'll be replacing them evry 6-8K

my front driver's side has failed twice, my front right is fine and my rear links "click" when you twist them side to side.

going in in the morning for new "revised" endlinks that have a longer bolt and a hex at the end of the threads, had you installed the "new" ones? or do those suck too?

25932329 was installed this morning on all 4 corners, drives as it should with no noise now, the car no longer "wanders" on uneven road surfaces either, maybe they got it right this time? miles and time will tell...

My front driver's side has failed for the 3rd time now (I even gave it the benefit of the doubt and tightened it to make sure it wasn't loose...no worky). This last one IS the version with the hex vs. the torx. I can't figure out why this particular one keeps failing.

Replaced the front left again yesterday. The right rear was also shot, or at least loose for some reason, so I replaced it too as I didn't want to mess with it if tightening didn't' fix it. One of the two, don't remember which, did NOT feel smooth when rotating the ball in the cup so something was going wrong inside. What a PITA.....

If you look just in front of the disk rotor, behind the front wheel, you will see a aluminum "end link" It is the vertical part attached to the lower control arm. They attach to the sway bar which runs across the front of the car.

The end link is #4 in the picture..

Default no one?

So no one can report good lasting results from the "new" GM links that cost about $25 apiece. We have to go to $300 (LG Motorsports)a set to stop the clunking noise from the links? There are so many of us that it would seem that by now GM would have made a correction. I know, they have other problems. No one?
