I see you are from West Monroe, Go Rebels! I have family from there.
Anyways, to your question... it is not a very hard process. If you do a search there is a DIY about the Fast intake install that is very informative!

It might be a good idea to buy Spinmonster's ported mod of the FAST to greatly ease the install pain-you dont need to cut into the firewall with his mod.
I've seen great dyno and 1/8 & 1/4 mph numbers for the FAST but have yet to see great lowered ET numbers resulting from it whether ported or not.
yea i found spins diy fast install..that seems pretty helpful...but i read somewhere else where you will need to change the injector o rings to ls1...is that correct...
Yes, definitely get the SpinFast 92 (Spin modded for firewall clearance, ported and painted) a great value. The install is not terribly complicated just take your time, then get a tune for it. A great bang for the buck, it made a measureable difference in my modded '07 A6 coupe, especially midrange.
Good luck
For those who like to do their own project work, here is another thread about MODIFYING THE FAST 92.
Wow that piece of plastic in the rear looks like it came off the same stock as the original spinmonster one. Your pics are the best and your
helping alot of folks get started. Only us who did the FAST mod & porting know and feel the immense torque/ HP gains from this single mod. Leon

Thanx, Leon. If you go to your local Radio Shack (like Spin said) and buy the correct size plastic project box (like Spin said) and cut it to fit the hole left in the FAST 92 (like Spin said) . . .

I know Spin mentions that the ls1 "O" rings are preferable and he is correct since the FAST was originally designed for the LS1 & LS6.
When we did the install on mine we did not have the LS1 "O" rings
so we used the ones from the LS2 OEM. I was skeptical but it all worked
well. We got the numbers on the DYNO. I still however wonder if there
would have been a little more HP/TQ to be had switching back to the LS1 injector "O" rings ?

Wow how did you get them to fit in the intake? I bought a fuel rail adaptor from Katech but it turns out it was to put a ls2 intake on a ls1 so the orings were ls2, bigger orings. I tried to push the injectors in and they just didn't fit well, I couldn't get the injectors all the way in. When I used the proper smaller ls1 o-rings they literally popped into place...
Not to be an alarmist but the injectors were loose with the ls2 o-rings, and with 58 psi of fuel pressure I'd sure not want them to pop loose. The proper o-rings are less than $5 IIRC at Advanced Auto, I'd recommend you buy them and get them on there. It's easy to change them if you have a small pick, just don't poke the pick into them and rip them.
You would know real quick if they are leaking. Ask me how I know
I have some o-rings at home that are locally procured that work well and don't have the LS1 price tag. If you are interested PM me and I will get you a part number. I would not run LS2 o-rings... too loose.
I know fast has the LS1 o rings and when I got the FAST MANIFOLD
it came with the 8 rectangular rings and the large one on the air inlet side. I asked my tuner from FLA if he had the ls1 O rings and he said he did not need them and the stock LS2 O rings would be just fine. I watched the install and the fuel rail went down nice, using 3/4" washers
as a hold down because of the offset. It looked kind of tacky but the
install was done and the bolton RWHP/TQ easily went over the 400+
mark.
I have a CAM install comming up soon and im going to swap the ls2 O
rings out for the LS1's at that time. I appreciate your offer that will save me a couple of bucks. I could also use some cam advice that will work well with the FAST. I would like to get to 450 - 475 rwhp / with
a great TQ curve Thanks much, Leon
