Default Fan Start Up Temp

After doing a search on this, I ended up more confused than when I started. Here's my question. I have a stock OEM stat in my 2006 A6 coup. (I believe that is a 187 degree stat.) Today I noticed that my fan came on when coolant temp hit about 202-203 degrees, with outside temp being 45 degrees. Does this seem kind of low for the fan to come on? Thanks.

your fan comes on at 194 degrees, at around 30% (If I recall). 202-203 is something like 50%.
The outside temp doesn't influence your engine temp that much due to the 187 thermostat that is fully open at around 197 ish.
