here in south fla summer temp are high 80-low90 at homestead,at a track day after four laps the oil get up to 270 degree, not water but oil, however the mobil 1 is supposed to be good to 300 degrees or so. I change it for every track day to keep it fresh. z51 6 sp with oil cooler, ls3. Would like a bigger oil cooler.

long cruise highway at 80mph about 214 or 215, after 15 to 20 minutes on track up to 284 on a 88 degree day. Obviously road racing is a different issue, but your temps are normal.
