Default Question about HEADERS.

I've purchased headers before on my c5 and my last c6.Always got the whole setup,Headers,x pipe and cats.I just saw some BASSANI headers in the for sale section and it made me wonder. Can I just buy headers without the rest of it and stick them on my otherwise stock NPP 08 w/stock cats and all that??08 has the X PIPE stock.

if they are the long tube variety you will need the xpipe that goes with the headers, not your stock ones. you can use the overaxle section with the npp mufflers.

x pipes with cats if you want it to be street legal sort of. if the cat position is moved it is technically no longer street legal, at least in CA. check your local laws if you are worried.

Another option is to go with the C6 Z06 exhaust manifolds, cat pipes and H-pipe tapered down to 2.5" to fit onto your NPP over axles. You will be street legal and get a nice bump in hp and tq.
